For those how don’t know me, I LOVE baking... It’s just something inherited to me from my  great grandmothers and grandmas..  Oh, one more thing you need to know about me...I only bake sweet things…

Because of that, some friends told me that would be a local competition to raise money and the recipe needed to promote KENT cherries.

I thought would also be nice to sew a matching apron to my dessert and invited a friend that doesn’t sew to also try to create her apron.

It was definably a big challenge to sew 2 aprons less than 2 hours while you actually teaching and not doing yourself... and  with a short  timeline to take the dessert to the event. As you will note below , the aprons weren’t ready on time for the competttion(LOL)only after. It is a great keepsafe for us, now.

It was so worth it… Kiran and I had such a lovely time and to top up our day, my dessert was the best of the day and I won 1st prize.

We raised £2000 for Mac Millan cancer charity and I won a 3 course dinner at our local 2 AA rosettes restaurant – TOPES.

Here some of the photos…

You are so cute, I love your pictures!

The aprons are so impressive and the story behind them is wonderful. I love that you only bake sweet, why not, isn't that the best?
