Celine, this is such a wildly cool dress. Is this for a production or will you sell it?

I've got to ask you, and maybe you spoke about this earlier on...Do you sew all the time? Your studio looks very advanced, like your skills, is this your career? Where do you find your endlessly interesting fabric? Is it all new or mixed with vintage? With your Victorian collars, are you making these for clients or selling them at your upcoming show?

I hope you don't mind me asking as you are a sewing powerhouse and well, I'd just love to know more ;-)

Thank you so much Cathe! Most of my creations are meant to be sold. At the moment, I'm creating lolita/victorian/steampunk outfits for a very special event, a video game/geeky/japan lovers fair! I don't sew all the time, but I try to sew very often! Like many of you I have kids and you know what it's like! ;) and I work as a graphic designer. But I try to become a full-time costume designer!! ;) This is why I'm preparing this fair! I'm so stressed about it! I really hope that many things will happen there and that I'll sell everything!! Hahaha!

Sadly, it's not my studio! :D It's a friend's and she's letin' me work in it! I learned to sew with my mother and I've been sewing for about 15 years now, and yes I'd love this to become a career!

About my fabrics I have both new and vintage. I buy online at Spoonflower.com or fatquartershop, 'cause there are so many beautiful fabrics there. And I have many vintage fabrics by my family and friends, and I work in partnership with a thriftstore, they give me all the fabrics/clothes they want to throw away. So I get many things that way.

That's the same thing for my collars, I'm making them for the fair. But as soon as the fair is over, everything will be in my Etsy shop! Hahaha!

And thank you so much for asking! ;) I really appreciate how supportive you are! ;)

Oh thank you so much for sharing! You are extremely talented and I knew you had a really good eye hence being a graphic designer! You have to feel so good stepping out and pushing ahead with the show. I'm just so impressed! I know you will do great. I bet it will be an amazing show. I wonder what the other vendors will be selling, do you have any insight?

I've been enjoying your steampunk creations, it's like walking onto a movie set!

Keep it coming!

Thank you so much!! ;) I know there'll be many anime figurines, anime/movie replicas, made in china lolita fashion, handmade jewels. I just cross my fingers that it will be it!! ;)

Wow Celine, you are a mum and have a job as well as producing all this? Well I am very humbled. You must be superwoman! You deserve to do super-well at the fair x
