Its only the second week of summer ,we have already had several days approaching 40 o C (104 o F) I think a White Christmas will stay a dream, but this cosy dressing gown will be comforting when winter returns. It was nice to get such a big peice of fabric out of my stash, it was gifted and had been in my cupboard so long it was granted permanent residency. For the hand-made satin piping and binding I recycled table toppers I made for my daughters 21st birthady 8 yrs ago, I am very pleased with this freebie! The pattern was Simplicity 5737 circa 1983

That was a wonderful way to use up so much fabric, indeed! Your picture of what you made is great. There is a warm and cozy feeling in the photo, like a happy Christmas morning, even if your weather outside doesn't reflect the traditional 'White Christmas' idea. The fact it was free no doubt makes it even better. I especially like your hair/headband, too-it's the perfect touch.
