The tunic is based on Simplicity 1693, with 10 inches added to the bottom and side vents so it has the 20's ideal of a loose and flowing silhouette. My tunic is made from only 1 yard of fabric! I added my own bias facing to the neckline and armholes edges for a clean look, and lined the whole thing, too. I self drafted the pattern for the satin belt then used a sequin headband, bought from the dollar store, for the belt decoration. To make the closures, I used a vintage buckle and a vintage button at the neck from my grandmother's stash. I even hand strung my own pearl necklace and did hand beading on the shoulders!
