Sorry! This dress is not new but it if my favourite and I really wanted to share it with you! The pattern is one I have now used twice and it is so accurate and sews up beautifully. I did have to adjust when I first made it - making it bigger in the bodice and longer - because I am tall. It has a lovely "bosum" section and bound neckline, an inverted pleat at the waist. I love this dress as it is so feminine and so comfortable.
The fascinator is a UFO that I finished tonight just in time for the wedding. I had intended to wear it to the Melbourne Cup but I didn't end up going. It was one I got at Target for about $A15 and remade by covering with polka dot tulle and adding the red flower, then glueing the small black feathers in - bit fiddly. Would need to remake it as it is too heavy and keeps slipping down.
I do wear hats quite often - here in Australia we really need them - it gets so hot and the glare is so strong. My children have to wear them to school every day - "No hat - No play" is the school's policy.
Best wishes to Prince William and Katherine - I hope their mairraige is long and happy!
