I made this dress from a McCalls pattern number 9400 from 1953.  The fabric cost about $60 from Spotlight and in their current range of cotton/lycra sateen of vintage styled fabrics.  It is so easy to sew with.  It was a little chilly yesterday in Sydney so I covered up with this vintage cardigan - went to the Vintage Fair here in Canterbury, Sydney.  Had a wonderful day!
