The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

Navy wool cape. Pattern from Burda style Magazine, August 2011.
Easy, collar-less cape, slits for the arms, no lining. It is rather dull. It would look nice with pretty buttons (that you can actually see!) I'm going to have to pin a brooch on it :)
The slits for the arms are rather low and restrictive: they make me behave like a Playmobil toy!

Luv it...I just purchased a beautiful piece of wool from EOS to make this in quite similar to the one shown in magazine.  Now you've encouraged me to get sewing.  Thanks for the tip on the slits for arms.

Great cape, can you make the slits go higher for more playmobl toy play? or perhaps line it with a great contrasting pattern? I'd put fake buttons on it if you need to jazz her up. She looks fab.
