Woah.... that's colourful! My Aunt gave me this vintage fabric from her stash earlier in the year. It's always daunting using gift fabric! I'm always a bit worried about the 'so have you used that fabric yet?' question. eep... I better make something wearable cause I'm gonna have to wear it around to her house sometime! She thought a skirt would be nice.. but I have no idea what I'd wear with it.. so it had to be a dress. The pattern is 'that' Burda dress (you know the one ladies! remember 'kiss the cook' challenge) I wanted to use a pattern that was least likely to chop up the cute little characters. At the last minute I decided it needed a tier on the bottom. Out came the scissors and I lopped 3ocm off the hem and then added the ruffle back on! So glad I did it though, because I think it matches the feel of the fabric. I found the ric rac at the local op shop last week for $2.. the colours were perfect! There's about 7m of it used up here.
