Hi people excuse my naivety but i made the colette Rooibos dress in a US 1o but im now an 8 so next time i make it would like to make the smaller size! does this mean i'll have to rebuy the same pattern again?

no not at all! it's not so hard to grade down a size, there's an awesome tutorial here:

or you can just do it the lazy way and not include seam allowances (experienced seamstresses will now run screaming from the computer).

 

either way, trace out your new pattern and keep the original intact. you never know what size you'll need!

lots of people buy swedish tracing paper so they never cut their patterns, this way they stay perfect and you can go back to it and make another size should you need to. I must admit I am to lazy for this!

I trace my patterns on freezer paper. You can find that at your grocery store.
