The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

Hi there! I was looking for a pattern or something similar for the Sabrina dress by J.Crew. The bottom portion is a straight skirt, but I couldn't figure out the top portion. Does anyone have any pattern ideas for this dress? AJC's site has more detailed views. Just scroll to the bottom of the page for the pictures of the dress.

Thanks for your help! :)

but you'll have to mod if you want it exact.  About 20 years ago, there was a bustier pattern, (I want to say Vogue, but don't remember) that was closer to the center area's shape, but it didn't work well.  I'd started it in a black linen, grew frustrated, and asked a designer acquaintance for guidance and she said to just toss the pattern out, so, I did.  But I might be able to hunt it down.  The point being, it's out there, in shape, if not in proper instruction.

looks like the scoop if you could mod the bust/shoulder strap piece.

Pretty dress.  I'm sure there are more options.

Good Luck!

Thank you Joann! This really helps! I really think the first pattern V2958 is probably the closest that I would get to for that particular style. I will do a search for it on Ebay or Etsy. If you do happen to find that bustier, I would still be interested. :)

Thanks again,
