Hello Ladies!  I've been following the Sew Weekly for a couple of months now but I haven't actually interacted with anyone yet besides posting one comment!  I'm Kaelyn, and I'm learning to sew.  My mom taught me to sew when I was a child and then I slowly let it go over the years.  She gave me a sewing machine for Christmas 3 years ago after I expressed interest in learning how to sew once again.  I have been slowly taking on projects to become better at sewing.  (An apron, makeup bag, pillows, clothing items) My goal is to one day be able to sew all of my own clothes to truly express my own style.  I admire all the women in this community and hope to be able to add something in the future!

Hi - I'm Jennifer.  I'm originally from New York and now live in Orlando, Florida.  I'm very new to sewing and it's definitely become a passion/obsession for me.  I love fabric and pattern shopping.  I've tried some of my patterns and well, the key word is "tried". But one thing sewing has taught (besides this fun skill) is patience.  I was never a patient person and here I am, patiently measuring and cutting and preparing fabric.  I've made a few skirts and tried a couple of dresses but have yet to make one that I feel comfortable wearing outside. I'm hoping to learn, experiment and succeed in this new venture of mine.  I've also started a blog - jennysews2.blogspot.com where I posted some of the things I've done.

I'm constantly trying to find the balance between working full-time, being the cook, etc at home, making it to the gym, and sewing.

Nice to meet you all :)

Hello!

My name is Andrea Pannell. I currently live in Southern California but in the past 10 years we've lived in Seattle, Boston, NYC and Hoboken. I have four children who are still young and most of my sewing is for them though I do have a closet full of things I've made for myself as well! I love to sew and am self taught so I love learning from others! I run a blog called The Train To Crazy that I started in  January 2007 as a family blog but has been a sewing blog for the last 4 or 5 years.

I have very recently opened my pattern store Go To Patterns where I sell my own e-pattern (soon to be plural) as well as patterns for other designers. Most of the patterns we sell are geared toward beginners.

Glad to meet you all!

Hi  Andrea, so nice to meet you.. I love sew weekly and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.. Happy sewing.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth but I like they call me Lizzy, I am mexican and living in Mexico.

I have been taking sewing classes during a few years but skills are not as good as I wish. I have a blog Enamorada de la moda vintage( In love with vintage fashion), I started this blog mainly because I wanted to comment not as annonimous and to show my attemps to sew vintage style clothes, but honesty, I haven't post anything lately, I seriously thinking in changing its name to "Sewing once in a while".

I have been reading this blog for a while and I realy love it! I have tryed to sew something according to the week theme but I never finish it, but I will do soon.

Also, I love to discover new blogs here of all the contributors.

Nice to meet you all!

So nice to meet you Lizzy.. Hope you enjoy sew weekly. I love it.. Happy sewing.

I tried to read your blog.. but it said it was for invited guest only.Sorry..

Hi Judy! Sorry, I did something (without notice) with the settings but now it's ok, you can read my blog now, as I said before, I haven't post lately.

Thanks Liz, I will visit  again..  Have a great day..

My name is Jane Winkler, and I live in New Mexico with my husband and our 10-year-old daughter. I've been a quitmaker for 15+ years and have just started to get into garment sewing.

I'm trying to balance my desire to have a mostly me-made wardrobe with my need to have a (relatively) no-stress creative outlet.

Hope to have a blog up within the first 2 weeks of August. A BIG  thank you to all of the bloggers and sewists out there who are so generous in sharing their talents and tutorials.

Hi Jane, so nice to meet you. Hope you enjoy sew weekly. It is so fun.. Happy sewing.

Hello my name is Carla I am from Peru, South America, but I have been living in Miami, FL the past 27 years.  I love creating things.  Sometimes I crochet, I knit and sometimes I sew.  Sewing is the least because I do not know much. I self taught the little that I know.  I have 3 teenagers ready to go to college and see that finally I have "time" to my self to create what I haven't done in the past 20 years!  By accident I found this website and fell in love with it and the idea of the challenges.  I have been following the challenges for quite sometime now.  And buying all the patterns I can from all the contributors.  I wish I could be a the same level of creativity of all of them!!! Thank you
