The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

I used to sew. For myself, my sister, my mother, and even friends. I always had at least one project on the go, and felt bereft if I had less than 3 or 4 lined up in my head!

Fast forward to today, and  after too many years, I've picked up a needle again. Therapy, of sorts, while I'm in recovery from a long term illness, and it's working.

For now, I'm sewing up a simple skirt from a remnant (pictures to follow), and combing the 'net for inspiration. My newly acquired Pinterest board is filling up faster than my skirt is progressing, but I'm having fun!!

I also visited the local thrift store, and for 1.50$ came home with a dress, skirt, top and a bed skirt of 9 yards of wide broderie anglaise lace, all of which I have plans to upcycle or adapt:-).

I'll keep you posted...
