me too! Sewing is so inspiring... unfortunaly we dont have as much places to get vintage fabrics and patterns or yard sales as over the pond... hopefully with more demand we will get there.

I agree ! ebay is not so good either. Boot fairs can be ok, but you have to be on the constant look out every day which is not always possible. Which part of London are you from ?

I live in Devon, a good few miles from you, but I was born in Sevenoaks which isn't too far away and all my family still live in Kent ! My mum and Dad went to  Charles Dickens festival in Rochester last year, they said it was good fun and an opportunity to dress up !! As for sewing, all my life although I've only just taken up dressmaking. I'm starting a sewing group, as so many of my friends are so busy we have agreed on once a month people can just come and go even if you have nothing to do, you can sit  and eat lots of cake and tea !! and probably wine and gin !!

Thank you ever so much!  My sewing notions arrived today!  Not sure what I'm going to make with it all yet.  Was a really sweet gift, thank you.

Prego, you're very welcome!

I'm not sure what that little red scalloped edging is for...seems like some sort of a horsehair-type hem stabilizer, who knows.  Have fun with it and the rest--go where your creativity takes you!

Hi Rachel! Just thought I'd let you know that the flickr group for the Lisette Sewalong on my blog is up.

I think you would be absolutely fine doing it! Its totally a beginner pattern, the main bulk of it is only three pattern pieces!

Here is the link, were starting on the 20th x
