The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

My mom's visiting for a week & offering expert help with one pattern. Simplicity 2211 B (a Lisette skirt) or Simplicity 2599 D (a top, ubiquitous in the blogosphere right now) ... ? I'm leaning towards the latter as I'm terrified of darts and have never done any (plus am very big bosomed, LOL). Any suggestions gratefully accepted!

Darts are so easy, nothing to be afraid of there - I would go the skirt if it has a zipper, you could get your mum to show you how to do that, as it would be the most difficult thing to do in that skirt. Either is good though, sewing anything is learning! Good luck ...... And have fun!

if your getting help, then go for the darts in the siplicity one.  Once you have done it you will realise like everything they are not too hard! (says me scared of trying everythingnre) Although the other is very pretty!!
