I took up sewing in August 2011, so I'm pretty new. Luckily, my mom sewed for 30 years and I have her to help me and give me tips! I have found that sewing my owns clothing has given me a better body image. Not every body can rock the same styles, yah? 

I really like the simplicity of the 40's and basically wear a dress 5 days a week (the other 2 days I'm working-no dresses allowed). I LOVE the online sewing community! From The Sew Weekly to WeSewRetro to Colette, there is such a STRONG presence and I think that is amazing.
