Knitting acheivement unlocked!

I am kind of surprised that I was able to finish this, but I guess that just goes to show what you can accomplish when you get laid off from your job. Please excuse the mistakes if you are able to see them. This was my first ever attempt at a knitting project and I'm not sure that I would have been able to accomplish it without the many knitting instructional videos online. I still have a ways to go in learning how to create a professional looking finished project, but I'm happy enough with how…See More

Busy Year and Long Hiatus

I am fully moved in to my new residence and my craft space is greatly reduced from what it had been in my previous residence. I know that I am fully moved in now, even though there are boxes that have yet to be unpacked, because there is already talk of moving from this space to a new space.I have made some things and will eventually get around to taking and posting pictures. It will probably be my New Year's resolution for 2014 to take and share more pictures.Speaking of making things, I plan…See More

Stashbusting Pledge

In the past several months life has thrown many obstacles my way. The most significant and most recent of which involved moving into a smaller space. By moving into the smaller space, I have had to come face to face with the amount of fabric and sewing notions that I have acquired. I finally am having to admit that I have reached a point where I can not purchase any fabric for any reason. I need to either create something with my fabric stash, or I need to make sure it goes to a good home.So I…See More

Baby Steps

Hi!Sorry about this post going up so late. It was intended for the first week/challenge of the year. With everything being up in the air about whether or not the Sew Weekly challenges are going to continue this year, I wasn't sure what to do for the first week and was a little hesitant to get started. Since I am slowly relearning the sewing skills that I once possessed in an effort to build upon them and learn how to make clothing that is tailored, I figured my first project of the year should…See More

Hi River!  With a name like that, I can only assume you're a Dr Who fan ;)

Love them both!  If I was younger and braver I'd dress Steampunk, but for now I just admire those that do :)  Can't wait to see some of the creations you post!
