I've been inspired by Veronica's use of vintage tablecloths. I don't think this is very old but I did find it in a charity shop, as part of a set. It's designed by Pat Albeck, for the National Trust and it's based on an Adam decorative ceiling. Pat Albeck was a prolific designer in the 70's - she was behind practically the whole National Trust teatowel range. She is also related to Emma Bridgewater, who is known in the UK for her natty tableware. I'm pleased with how the bodice has turned out, particularly the back (had to be careful with the front!) The pattern I used is an original 70's one, given to me by a friend at work.
Here I am toasting Oona, belatedly! I don't have tea in my teacup - (it's Guinness - it's good for you - purely medicinal - it's got iron in it !) Feeling much better now and have my sewjo back.
