The "Lake Girl" Wanna-be 40's Satin Blouse

This is my new dressy 'wardrobe staple' for the Shirt Challenge', a vintage reprint from Simplicity 3688 for the blouse and New Look 6000 for the sleeve cuffs. I love everything about this pattern, from how easy it was to put together, to the comfortable fit, but especially because it reminds me so much of Veronica Lake's style from the movie "This Gun for Hire". The pattern and movie were released 1941. I didn't do so good a job imitating Ms. Lake's 'peekaboo' hairstyle!
