My patternless attempt - I measured from waist to waist over my shoulder and then across my shoulders to get a rectangle. I cut a hole in the middle and was going to do a shirt that had no side seams and was joined by ties at the front and back.
When I added a couple of bust darts I then decided to do seams after all. The shoulders were a little flairy so I put a tuck pleat at the shoulder and am really chuffed at the result.

Thank you All :-)  I think it has a certain 'hospital scrubs' look about it but that won't stop me wearing it.
