Here is one of my UFO's now finished. It's a skirt in a 55% wool, 45% polyester tartan, part of a 3 piece suit - my only UFO. The skirt is a really comfy fit and Id make it again in other fabrics. My brother bought me all the materials one Christmas some years ago as something nice to do. I have made the matching trousers but these don't fit now! So, I'm gong to refashion them into a waistcoat. They are in a coordinationg plain fabric. The plaid of the skirt doesn't really show up too well in this photo, but you can see it better in the following detail. The jacket remains to do, but I want plenty of time for that to make it well. The pattern is a, 'Delta Burke', but I've no idea who she is ?? Someone well known in the US?? If you're wondering who it is in the background of the photo, then that's my mum, who'll be featuring next week in the Apron Challenge, since I already have one of my own! Can we have Jacket and Waiscoat weeks please so I can get this suit completely finished?!!

Too funny! Could be a fast Internet connection, my fast fingers or my obsession with our group!

Okay I could vaguely remember Delta Burke, so I looked her up. Here's her story, She was in the sitcom Designing Women as one of the main characters. The show aired in the late 80s early 90s. She has a clothing line, maybe that includes patterns (?), she was treated for bring an obsessive hoarder (Judy, funny right?) and has an antique store in Mississippi.

Wow, that Delta Burke sounds spookily a bit like me (but not being treated for being an obsessive hoarder!!)  I do keep stuff though ... not obsessively...trying to dig myself out of a hole!!!)  But I did work in a Museum for many years and I'm a 'designing woman'!  Thanks everyone!
