Made to match the pillbox that I ALSO MADE at university last year :) Like some others, I had already completed most of the dress earlier in April and was saving it for some sort of Easter challenge. I have the same fabric I used for the pillbox, but I want to make a suit out of it and this fabric was so perfect!
Fabric: Thrifted sheet and scraps from another sheet for the lining ($2.99)
Pattern: Simplicity 2209, Lisette "Passport" Dress ($1.99)
Notions: Zipper, thrifted ($.69)
Time: Not sure, I basically drafted the bodice front from scratch using my own sloper, and that took ages!
Wear Again: Absolutely!
Eventually I'll post a much longer explanation at vintageorbust.blogspot.com

Comment by Cathe on May 1, 2011 at 7:12pm It never ceases to amaze me how good a sheet can look when made up into a dress. This is just beautiful. And the hat! It adds a real elegance.
