The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

This is currently my favourite item of the summer yet.

I based it loosely on the Katjusha pattern on, but made a lot changes for both style and fit: extended the bodice to hip-length, reduced the bust curve and omitted the side darts for fit, made the front panel ruched, and used a dirndl (gathered rectangular) skirt rather than a circle skirt. The back is shirred and stretchy, making it easy to get in and out of while maintaining a bombshell fit. I made a gathered, two-tiered underskirt and am also wearing it with a petticoat, but I think I need a fluffier one.
