This top was *supposed* to be a quick one, but I probably spent 10 hours on it. Vogue 8151, which I've made several times before. I even had grand ideas that I would make another top for this week's challenge in white AND a color blocked tee. There really isn't a good reason why this top took so stinkin' long. It could have been the 100-degree heat, drafting a new neckline, my decision to add epaulets with mother-of-pearl buttons and a pocket, or to try monogramming my initial on the pocket (admittedly, having a testing my new monogrammer on a very unstable knit probably wasn't the smartest...). Anyhow, in the end, I'm happy with the top. It will see much use, and hopefully the next one won't take nearly as long! And, to celebrate this week's theme, I splurged on some wild-caught sockeye salmon (which is the pesto-crusted goodness on the plate). With a much-needed glass of wine, of course!
