Here are my satin tap pants, made with Past Pattern #501. I adjusted the pattern to transform them into more of the hip skimming 30's style, even though the pattern is for 20's ladies underclothes set. The tap pants (French knickers or tango pants are other names) are cut on the bias, with all seams lapped, bias bound, or french. I added a back placket for less bulk and historical reasons. From start to finish was only 3 1/2 hours, but a good part of that was spent on adding the lace, but it was so worth it! These tap pants were so easy to assemble, fit great, and look better than any RTW lingerie.
