The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

Here is my finished 40's jumper, made from a modern reprint Simplicity 3673. I really went out of my comfort zone here, as I'm not a big fan of jumpers, but I had high standards and did plenty of online research, so I would get the modern vintage look I achieved here. I "pinched out" 1 1/4 inches from the middle of the front and back bodice pieces and the center front skirt seam was eliminated from my design by measuring out the 5/8 inch seam allowance and cutting that pattern piece on the fold. Now I have the perfect 'wiggle dress'! See more pics, find out what adjustments I made, and read why I'm in a library @my blog: http://circle.sewweekly.com/profiles/blogs/my-high-standards-1940-s-jumper?xg_source=activity
