Thanks.  Yes it did.  I had planned to make a black one as well, but I changed my mind after all that gathering.  Pressing and turining that hem was not pleasent either.

Do the black one!  Here's a hint for the hem:  Narrow Rolled:  Before you gather the long, bottom ruffle up or attach it, on the flat, turn under 1/4"  by placing the long panel (already stitched into one length) on the full length of your ironing board. [It will drape over the edges.] With Iron in your one hand, press down the first 1/4" turn, turning the edge over with your other hand as you go.  (It works slightly better when you figure out which hand should be holding the iron, ie find which of these two tasks is the right one for your dominant hand).  Then, do the same process again to turn down the second 1/4 inch for the nice folded edge.  Then, run it on the machine.  In this method, you could probably get just the long, narrow hem done inside 1/2 hour.  Rolled Hem: Or, use a rolled hem foot for your machine.  Press just the first 1/4" under, then slip it into the rolled foot.  Practice first on long scraps 'til you get it!
