Ah, Madeline. Even as a child, I can remember how I envied her sweet primary colored wardrobe. Not to mention she was the bravest girl! I used a vintage pattern that I had in my stash, Simplicty 5022 (http://www.etsy.com/transaction/33805577), and a yellow sheet from the thrift.

It's lovely.  I don't think I ever had the Madeline books.  For some unknown reason my mother dislikes the french.  hehehe I have no idea why.  They have the best language, food, and culture.  :)

I read lots of Bernstein Bear and Ameila Bedelia books.
