it has been another looooooong sunday but i had to get these in by the stroke of midnight! this challenge was a hard and sad one for me, so i am glad to finish it. and this yella skirt, inspired by my most beloved nan, is destined for another. i don't know who yet, but i think it will be happier with someone else... and my nan certainly would approve of the giving.

more on my nan, here: http://oonaballoona.blogspot.com/2011/05/sew-weekly-sunday-in-which-i-figure-it.html

That was a very sweet story Oona. x

The skirt is gorgeous whether it stays with you or not. (and I wear everything crinkled... because I hate ironing! Just go with it I say)

I was very moved by what you wrote about your Nan, Oona. Your skirt is a lovely homage to her. xx

What a Sunday, pretty and so sad. Oonaballoona, this is really pretty but I understand!

The story and comments on your blog had me weeping.  You should hang on to the skirt for a while, though, because it might, after some time, make you really happy to wear it.  It definitely looks like  a happy skirt.  And yeah, I'm not a big ironer, so I wouldn't worry an ounce about the wrinkles.

A happy yella skirt - I love pansies too, always plant them round my front door. You hang on to that skirt!
