The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

I so wasn't going to join in this week. You see, if you paid attention last week you'll know pink was not in my mood board and I am trying to make things that go together instead of running around making random stuff because it is pretty. Then I saw Mena's post: think pink for breast cancer awareness month. So I have made a scarf with some fleece I was given and some rather nice quilting cotton I bought from Sarah at Rhinestones and Telephones when she was de-stashing. I just put them together and serged around them. Then I made a corsage flower to go with it out of the same cotton and a button from my tin.
I wore the set to work this morning and will wear it proudly throughout breast cancer awareness month and beyond in honour of Lynda, my friend's mother, who is bravely, so bravely, battling cancer at the moment. xxx PS the jacket is a bought one....

That's usually why I don't end up doing challenges too! I'm glad you made this though, it seems it will be pretty AND functional.

Charlotte you made something so touching and with a proud purpose. I am so inspired by you!

I agree with following a mood board but in this case stepping out as you have done is such a good thing and your scarf and flower are lovely!

Thank you for reminding us about hope and prayers for our dear friends! You did right!
