Here is my New Year's party dress, made from Simplicity's 75th Anniversary pattern 5876, a 1930's re-issue. The fabric is a heavyweight, royal blue satin, and the dress is completely lined with all seams either hidden by the lining or covered in matching bias tape. There are snaps in the left side closure, after the zipper I originally sewed in malfunctioned just before wearing. The flutter sleeves are fun to wear...and a challenge to sew. I feel so elegant with the "train" at the back of the dress! Read more here: http://circle.sewweekly.com/profiles/blogs/happy-new-year-my-1930-s-evening-gown?xg_source=activity
