The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

This is a close up of the slash pocket that I made on my heart apron. I had no idea how to do something like this but I sewed a big buttonhole over the spot, and, with hem tape, feel I finished it well.
My finished heart apron was originally started in 2008 and made from refashioning a thrift store mini skirt. I'm proud I didn't use a pattern or template for my project. The lavender ties and inside pocket fabric are leftover scraps from a vintage dress I made last year.
