The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

This dress from the BurdaStyle book whooped me. Having never traced a pattern before, I was totally flummoxed by the overlapping pieces. I added a bow belt using Tilly's tutorial, pockets from Simplicity 2444, collar from Simplicity 5514, and sleeves from Simplicity 2501. The main fabric is flannel, and the lining is a weird cotton cloud fabric. After eleven hours of working on this, I'm glad it's done ... but wary of tracing patterns ever again.

It's really pretty, tracing pattern actually gets easier with time and its simply unbeatable in matters of cost (especially if you're lucky and have a libary that has sewing magazines) Really worth the work and something to be proud of.

It is really cute!  I smiling because of the relief of finishing it?  I have had plenty of things that I have made that have beaten the heck out of me, and I end up smiling deleriously after the finish!!!!
