This fabric is almost 20yrs old and I'm glad to move it out of my stash, It is a medium weight coursely woven cotton with a 6mm check(the photos are quite distorted) This is the first time I have used an invisible zipper. The pattern is Model 119 from Burda 09/2007. (Total cost $3 for the zipper )My hat is hand made raffia with its original trim, I made it some time in the early 90s for my beloved Aunty Betty

Very classy skirt, Michelle.  What a unique and flattering deign too!  Congrats on doings the invisible zipper. I recently did my first invisible zipper, also-although mine had a mishap after sewing in to my garment.  You are brave to try a Burda pattern.  I've never tried one because I've heard they are hard and do not show the seam lines (don't think that's the proper term).  I love your hat, again!  Hats add so much to an outfit.  I have a hat collection, too, but not hand made :)
