Border Print 50's Dress -shoulder close-up

This is my "Mad Men" style sundress, made from a soft border print rayon. It is a combo dress, with Vintage Vogue 8789, year 1957, view B, for the bodice and Simplicity 2177, view A, for the dress' skirt. It is fully lined in a lavender cotton for a clean finish and no need for facings. I sewed in a long 20 inch zipper along the side starting from the armpit seam to make this easy to get into. The button shoulders are the best part of the pattern, but it was a bit tricky to get them fitting great. This is a fun and comfy dress!
