The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

A bit late, but with reason. Was gadding about at the races last week and also fundraising at the same time for Macmillan Cancer Support UK. You can read about what I was up to on my blog at http://margueritedesigns.blogspot.com playing host to TED, a special bear travelling around the UK at the moment. (Find out more about him and how you could be host - UK only - at http://daisydonut.wordpress.com).

Anyway, for this challenge I was stuck between using American designed fabric and a typically American pattern I already had. The fabric won, as I've been wanting to make a bag, or 'tote' for ages and I had just enough Amy Butler 'Trumpet Flower'. It also meant I didn't have to buy in any more fabric, which I would have had to do with the pattern. I'm in the process of setting up a little shop at folksy.com and this is going to be the first thing in it - it's completely my own design (hence Anglo-American). I've enjoyed reading about all the terminology going on in The Sew Weekly this week, so this is my homage to that too! On with the album cover challenge ...
