This is my modern/retro A-Line dress, made with a rayon 'linen-look' fabric in a soft pastel yellow color. Even though the pattern I used is Simplicity 1878, designed by Lisette, year 2012, it definitely has a distinct 60's style, too. Simplicity 1878 is a great pattern...very easy to make and, with a few fitting adjustments, comfy to wear. The design is very smart by the way there are two long darts along the back to bring in the dress without messing up the simple fashion of the front. The darts work so much better than ties!
