The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

From the Butterick 5032. A nice little capelet that I made for fun as I was mainly interested in the pattern for the dress but this one came with it. Note to self: think about the fabric you're using. This one is more or less un-wearable, unless I want to look like a nurse in the Blitz. Super-easy pattern though. I might try and make it in a different fabric one day.

I like, but then I think nurses in the blitz looked amazing. If you put a big corsage or something on it it would look great.

Now i'm thinling of making another one to go with a pretty dress for a wedding, like the retro equivalent of a shrug. I agree it is not easy to wear even though it looked fabulous in the old days...
