The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

This is my historically correct pre-30's dress, with the middle tunic part being a lightweight cotton flannel, while the skirt part and sleeves are chiffon. I used stray pieces from 3 different patterns and plenty of free-hand work to make this look. This back shot shows the long, but rather disguised, darts along the tunic to give some subtle shaping. Pardon the wrinkles! Read my post and see more pictures at http://circle.sewweekly.com/profiles/blogs/my-hankie-hem-dress-of-1929-the-year-of-ups-and-downs?xg_source=activity
