Here is my 20's inspired tunic, made using a modern pattern, a 1999 Butterick #6140. I based my design on two old ladies journal magazines, one from 1930 and another from the 20's. The geometric Art Deco lines are actually tiny 1/8 inch pin tucks that wrap around to match along the back, and match along the bottom left sleeve as well. There is a simple back neck closure with a square golden button. With a nod to the genius designer Vionnet, my tunic is secretly a mathematical equation. The fabric is a loose weave, rough finish linen/rayon blend in a lovely mustard yellow color. Very well done ! It's no so easy to manage with geometric pattern. Art Deco is one of my favourite styles . The Roaring Twenties were so creative .
