I now feel official being apart of this weekly challenge, also a little bit scarred ! I'll join in to the best of my ability, going to look at my secret stash now, although it may take more than a week to make something, but I love the idea of using up the materials you already have.

Yes I'm new too. There seems to be a new challenge each week, I receive new home page for SW on Mon am, I'm in the uk.  Hope that helps ?

The challenge starts on Monday.  Mena sends out a newsletter a day or so beforehand with a sneak preview of the next challenge - you can sign up for it here:  http://www.sewweekly.com/receive-the-sew-weekly-newsletter.html

Hi,

I have went through my stash and FINALLY came up with my outfit.I chose a blouse and pants... Tomorrow, I will start the cutting out and sewing process.

thanks Mena for the weekend.. That gives the weekend to finish up..

Are we suppose to post a picture of our fabrics, pattern, etc,. Or just post a picture of the finished product and tell what we used for the points? thanks,Judy

Right - I'm determined. I'll have a go.  I can't guarantee that I will be able to keep up every week, but I will make the effort.

Welcome Jen!  Good luck!  It's a lot of fun.  :-)

I know what you mean Amanda - I have been much more productive in the last couple of weeks because I have a deadline and a self-imposed obligation to keep up and share what I am making.  It means that I'm not so inclined to waste time in front of the tv complaining that I never have time to sew :-D

I know what you mean. I've decided that I must complete the garment even if it becomes blindingly obvious that it will not suit me or is such a sizing problem that can not be adjusted. That way I train myself to finish (I have always been hopeless at the last little thing like a hem or buttons). Still I have had some successes so far and made a number of wearable items.

I'm with you guys, I have had one success but a couple of things I have finished even though I probably won't wear them anywhere! But I am not fan experienced sewer so it is good for me to try to finish what I start - I need the practice and as i am making mistakes I am learning ;0)
