The Sew Weekly Sewing Circle

Hello, sewing folks!

I was just hoping for some help from all of you. My mother-in-law gave me 5 yards of this fabric, and I cannot figure out what to make with it. (Sorry for the wrinkles.)

The squares are about 8" each side, so they're pretty big.

Any suggestions?

I would do a lovely full skirted summer frock - wish I had this! 5 metres should just about do it.

I would make the lining of a jacket/coat and a matching scarf.

I agree with Marguerite - a summer frock would be great. Or possibly I'd make a hippie-style long skirt!

I agree; something like this would suit the print, and it needs massive yardage!

This  looks like a reproduction hanky print.  I'm thinking a full skirt also-Bohemian style. Would be cute cut on the bias.

This looks perfect for a pic nic bag and spread.  I've seen some cute patterns out there for bags, and the spread would be easy enough to make.

brilliant! you're so right, it would be adorable spread out on the grass with a nice picnic

i see a pretty wrap skirt
