Sewalong Lisette Market Top 20th June 2011. Hope you will join me!!!


Hello lovelies.
I just awoke to the sound of a resounding yes on a sewalong on my blog! This is great news! I had loads of fun sewing this top the first time around and I can't wait to make it up a few times more!

I will get a button sorted in the next week or so but if you'd like to participate I will start up a flickr group and aim to get started on the 20th of June 2011. This should give us plenty of time to get the pattern and fabric ready! 
The Pattern is Simplicity 2211.

I was so sure I could make this work in with the weekly challenge - how wrong could I be!  Will still do it though - looks like two challenges for me this week - good job I'm on holiday!

I'm afraid not, I have been to the pub for a meal with some girlfriends, I will have to catch up tomorrow! I have the fabric and pattern ready though...

:) How exiting! Don't worry Charlotte I'm going quite slow in each post as we have some beginners in the group. Post two is interfacing and pattern markings catching up will be easy peasy!

Hows everyone getting on?

I've finished my tunic version up! Don't freak out though, were on Post 3,

I ran ahead a little so I could have the weekend as house stuff is cray cray. (My housemate josh's slang for crazy.) 

I am debating if I should cut into my only pieces of Liberty lawn and whip up a short sleeved blouse version so that I can explain a bit about the short sleeves.

What does everyone think?

I've been on holiday this week and having day's out, so I'm going to turn this project into next week's UFO theme (crafty or what?!).  It's all cut out and interfaced so I've just got to start sewing, which I'm planning on doing tomorrow.

I'm still with you Stevie, I have done the neckline and sewn on my buttons, I tried to tell you this on your blog but I am having a little IT trouble, not sure why!

 

I am doing view E, so any sleeve help would be gratefully received ;0)

Like Diane I am going to use my blouse as a UFO for this week's challenge (well, it was cut out when I heard about the challenge, and nowhere near finished.....)

 

Just wanted to say don't worry about the sleeves on my account, I have actually worked it out now! Yay - first sleeves! xx
