I just posted in the thread on favorite blogs- an excellent thread, as I love to find new blogs. But perhaps it wouldn't be amiss with a thread where we present our own blogs too? An easy way to see what all the talented people here writes about.
I have two blogs. Fashionable Forties, which is a rather new project for me, I am trying to re-create a complete 1940's wardrobe.
And I also have Isis' Wardrobe, where the focus is on 18th century clothes, but also everything else I feel inclined to make.
Isnt it a sad world we live in.. that we have to be so careful..
thankyou both for reminding us..
I'm not really that worried about my children. I don't talk about where they go to school or church or anything of that nature. Mostly I'm in "northern suburbs of Atlanta" which if you know anything about this area its a HUGE amount of space.
Keep in mind I've been working in the "Internet Provider" business for over a decade now (incld places like Google and Mindspring). So unless you are putting name, date, social, address, phone number all in one spot for people to see the risk is no greater than your children walking down the street. And the rate of crime in the USA is at its lowest its been in 60 years. So honestly, the hype around these things is way overblown.
In other words, its not something to lose sleep over. I just remind people that pictures that you put on the internet don't go away. Your employers/coworkers can search for them online. I would say be more worried about what you may say about your work/coworkers than any online predators because that can lose you a job. As for photos, well. I've done some somewhat risque' artsy (think pin-up, but not gross) photos that coworkers have found and asked about. I just shrug and say that they were on a wall in a gallery, why is that bad? Never had a problem with it.
Hi everybody! I love finding new blogs as well. I just started my own blog. I write about sewing and my kids and our adventures. Some recipes as well, food and beverage! It is a novice blog but I hope some of you like it!
